Double Happiness "Shuang Xi" - (S$58) NOW S$48

NOW S$48

"Shuang Xi" is a must-have in a traditional Chinese wedding. It symbolises double happiness (as if one is not enough!) and it will be printed or cut out on a red paper to be stuck on the door, in the bed room and anywhere that is conspicuous. This piece depicts marriage bliss and how one must cherish it - fresh water pearls (in Mandarin pearls are called "zhen zhu" and the "zhen" means "precious and cherish") are used. Marriage also has its mundane side which one must accept as a reality.

Materials: Fresh water pearls; big irregular/bicone swarovski crystals; iron, sewing machine, 'shuang xi' charms in brass colour; ring charm in steel colour; glass beads; toggle closure.
Chain measures 43.5cm from end to end. 'Shuang Xi' charm measures 2.5cm by 2.5cm.
